Wow, caught on tape, Boehner and Reid negotiating the upcoming budget dilemma:

Sucks - 'nuff said.

Good ole FF3 with AdBlock Plus for the win!

Hrm. 14 bil in profits for 2010, 5.9 bil generated in the US, so just under 9 bil generated in foreign lands. $0 paid to Uncle sam thanks to tax loopholes and a full time staff of accountants (24 total) to bypass tax laws. A good reason to consider a flat tax for everyone.

Jeffrey Immelt is on Obama's staff.. hrm
This is a US based company?... hrm

If this is the future of green vehicles, I want no part of it kthx.

Next time you attempt to smuggle illegals in here, please pay attention to the following list of DONT'S:

1) Dont use stolen Govt issued license plates - the feds track those pretty quickly.
2) Make sure that the military uniforms you have everybody wear while seated in the van don't all have the same last name badge such as Perez.

Well just great. Now we're involved in Libya. Isn't it fun? It's funny how our dumbass politicians select our "interests". On the surface they claim they are stopping Qah-daffy from selectively killing certain groups of people over the past few decades. Meanwhile mass genecide by the hundreds of thousands has been taking place in other hotspots in Africa by rogue warlords. I for one don't think we should be the world's police force. That being said please define for me exactly what caused us to get involved in Libya? I'm not saying Qah-daffy is an honorable leader, I'm simply saying that there are far worse leaders in other parts of the world whom are killing far more people, ala Somalia, Darfur etc etc.

Exactly how many have to be killed to justify our involvement?
Where the hell is the UN?

One of these days we'll find politicians whom aren't afraid to say "you know what.. we don't give a shit about the middle east anymore." It costs us tens upon hundreds of billions, perhaps even trillions of dollars and what do we have at the end of the day? Dead US Soldiers, political chaos and a huge debt - and just a short time later we're heading back to the same regions we once battled in to disarm the rebels whom we previously armed to help bring down yet another rogue leader. The same old shit, just a different day and a different political game.

I find it disheartening to listen to our politicians get on TV and talk about our values, our compassion, blah blah blah while we involve ourselves in holy wars in the Middle East yet turn a blind eye to the real problems, like China.

China has been buying up Rare Earth mines over the past decade. They now control 90% of the world's rare earth mineral repositories on the planet. Why does it matter? Rare earth minerals are used heavily in electronics productions such as semi-conductors, flat panel displays, lasers, etc etc. We've been blowing money over the past 40 yrs keeping Allah at bay, meanwhile China has been investing and NOT involving themselves in these silly antics in the Middle East.

Shame on you politicians. Shame on you dumbass public for electing these dumbass politicians.

Non-spam comments on posts being deleted? Really? Can't take the heat? Truth hurts? What gives?

Just saw some video from the idiots storming the Capital in Madison. Holy bajeezus. The unrest in Tripoli Libya is MORE civil. People were crawling, scratching and digging to get in the State House through windows they had broken and doors they had smashed. They blocked entrances to the chambers preventing the officials from even getting to the floor. Dozens were arrested and had to be dragged out all while chanting stupid solidarity songs and making the peace sign.

Reporters from all National Stations standing outside attempting to broadcast live have these weird people standing around them with their chests all puffed out, shoulders pulled back, staring at them like they're getting ready to fight or hit them. While off-camera they claim they've been pushed around, yelled and screamed at, heckled and threatened with violence. Violent threats have even been made to the Politicians, BOTH Dem and Repub. Wow.. just wow. Barbarians.

I find it hilarious looking back when the Dem politicians and left wing media outlets called the Tea Party protesters a violent thuggish group. Really? LOL. There has been zero mention of the Tea Party Protesters past rallies in the media during this whole debacle since there was little to no violence involved. Mmmm... a good dose of Hypocrisy is always good for the Elitists.

Labor unions members as a whole have always been known for their Borg like, thuggish mentality - kind of like rogue Lemmings. A legal Mafia. I'm glad the States of Wisconsin and Ohio have finally stood up to these school yard bullies and thugs and have knocked them down a notch or two. No longer can Trumka and his SS use workers money to fund politicians into office only to pass legislation that helps these public sector unions gain more power. 70% of Ohio's budget was going to State workers compensation and benefits. Enough already. The days of the public unions funding their own pawns to elected positions in our State Legislatures are restricted for now in these States.

As more and more States are finally growing some balls and tackling the Public Unions its now a good time to tackle the "Corporate Giants" funding BOTH Dems and Repubs into office. Since we'll be dealing with more civil and intelligent people than those in the Public Labor Unions I'm sure it won't garner as much coverage on the nightly news since the violence, bullying, threats and thuggery will be mostly non-existent.

Hey Obama Admins...Ole Gaffer Clapper is at it again. Another egregious gaff at a hearing today. Simply unbelievable. If he doesnt shut his trap he's going to start WW-III.

This tool actually said that in his opinion China and Russia are our immediate concerns when asked what country poses the greatest mortal threat currently to us. LOL! What about Syria? What about Iran? Sorry Clapper, I don't see many Chinese or Russians around here blowing us up. We buy far too much oil from Russia and we owe China far too much money for either of them to 'attack' us. This isn't 1965 anymore you know.. the cold war um, is over in case anyone didn't tell you. Maybe you should have the TV stations play those silly little bomb shelter videos again. You know the ones, where the kids in school are all showing how to hide under their desk to protect them from the evil R4d14t10nz!!

In addition, Clapper, the nation?s top intelligence official, went on to describe both China and Russia as ?mortal [threats]? to American security as Vice President Joe Biden simultaneously met with Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin in Moscow"

The Obama administration is out of control. I want Clinton back. Hell, I'd even settle for Bush again at this point.

Ha! I had to laugh. Harry Reid is worried about losing funding for the Endowment of the Arts. He actually said it would cause issues with funding the yearly Cowboy Poetry Festival.. where 10's of thousands attend each year. All was well until the founder of the Cowboy Poetry Festival said they only average 7000 attendees over a 7 day period of time AND they only receive 3% of their funding from the Govt.

14 trillion in debt, 200 billion in the month of February alone.. an all time record high and he's worried about Cowboy Poetry? No wonder he and Pelosi get along so well. They must be related. They're the Bell Family.... Ding and Dong.

Dummycrats at their finest.

Like all Political figures over the history of our existence it seems Mr. Obama is no different. He promised fundamental "change that we could believe in", yet all we have is a bunch of hot air ala status quo.

2007, Obama says:

?And understand this: If American workers are being denied their right to organize and collectively bargain when I?m in the White House, I?ll put on a comfortable pair of shoes myself, I?ll walk on that picket line with you as President of the United States of America. Because workers deserve to know that somebody is standing in their corner.?

Wisconsin or Ohio haven't seen him walking yet, although he has spoken out against the new laws restricting the Collective Bargaining process recently adopted in those 2 States. Perhaps his handlers should have better prepared his 2007 speech by knowing that the Federal Public Unions never had collective bargaining which is specifically barred under Federal Law. Oops!

January 2010, Obama says:

...I hereby order and we then provide the process whereby Guantanamo will be closed no later than one year from now.

Interesting. Yesterday an executive order was signed to continue holding prisoners at Gitmo. How's that working out for you Mr. President? I guess you didn't realize that Gitmo has been in existence since the early 1900's and that is has been used on and off for the detention and prosecution of criminals across 3 wars. You must be smarter than all your predecessors Mr. President.

November 2008, Obama says:

...I will invoke the use of the line item veto to prevent wasteful spending....

Mmmmkay. Studies by the CBO that you've invoked the line item veto 1 time in 2 yrs. I guess Congress has only been handing you bills that required no trimming. Excellent.

January 2008, Obama says:

..all negotiations will be publicly televised on C-Span. Gone are the days of closed door negotiations that are not transparent to the American Public.

LOL!! I seem to remember LOCKED doors, even reporters weren't allowed. Watching the video makes you cringe.

April 2008, Obama says during heated campaigning about Universal Health Care, something that Hillary Clinton was fighting for at the time, that

"A mandate means that in some fashion, everybody will be forced to buy health insurance. ... But I believe the problem is not that folks are trying to avoid getting health care. The problem is they can't afford it. And that's why my plan emphasizes lowering costs without requiring a mandate."

"Hillary Clinton's attacking, but what's she not telling you about her health care plan? It forces everyone to buy insurance, even if you can't afford it, and you pay a penalty if you don't,"

Ummmm... so what did you just sign last year then? Hrm.

Honestly though, did anybody really expect anything less from this clown? Oh I could go on and on and on and on and fill an entire hard drive about this President even the last 4 Presidents regarding broken promises, outright lies, flip-flops and general bullshit al dente'. We as a people continually believe these tards like aimless wandering sheep, almost Lemming like. It doesn't matter if it's a dem or a repub, a conservative, liberal or Tea Party politician. They're all one in the same. Tell the people what they want to hear, gain power, gain money, rinse, repeat, serve your term, write a book or two about your years in office complaining about your predecessors, create a library, do TV interviews, hope that someday your picture will occur on our currency.

Even though I fundamentally disagree with almost all of Obama's policies I would of respected his decisions provided that he actually performed what he campaigned upon. I prefer to know what I'm dealing with when it comes to people. I can still respect someone provided they adhere to their own convictions. I realize that if the general public does not like a particular administration's policies that they can be voted out during the next election. However, that administration will garner more respect from the general public IF they could only do what they say they're going to do whether you agree with it or not. At the end of the day I (along with most fair minded people) will respect someone who has integrity.

Isn't it ironic that the largest concentration of EXTREMELY religious people just happen to be where the majority of the widespread warring, violence and human rights violations are occurring for what seems thousands of years? A true mob mentality in existence.

I am a Catholic. I go to Church rarely. I believe in a higher power in the grand scheme of the Universe. That higher power does *not knowingly* enter into my decision making on a day-to-day basis to my knowledge, nor has it sat down next to me and had a conversation. Maybe it does exist? Who knows. What I DO know is that I understand the fundamental differences between right and wrong, good and bad, evil and divinity.

There are those individuals (and groups) throughout the history of man who have committed the most heinous acts, atrocities and unbelievable displays of human capabilities - mind boggling. It is expected in the law of averages to have a few of these occasionally. However, I cannot fathom such a large group of warring, hatred, oppression and violence existing in one place over such a long period of time.

No matter if you believe in a higher power or not we all believe in personal morality and common sense - both of which a disproportionate number of people in the Middle East seem to be without.

Sorry, couldn't post a comment due to our ridiculously stupid spam filter. I ask again WHY CANT THE SPAM FILTER BE IGNORED WHEN WE'RE USING LOGGED IN ACCOUNTS?!?

Here was my comment:

Actually, Haley is right. Here are the quotes, links and video. In the video interview Oil and Gasoline are specifically mentioned as well.

11/2/2008 interview with the San Francisco Chronicle:

?You know, when I was asked earlier about the issue of coal, uh, you know ? Under my plan of a cap and trade system, electricity rates would necessarily skyrocket. Even regardless of what I say about whether coal is good or bad. Because I?m capping greenhouse gases, coal power plants, you know, natural gas, you name it ? whatever the plants were, whatever the industry was, uh, they would have to retrofit their operations. That will cost money. They will pass that money on to consumers.?

Obama then went on to explain that this skyrocketing of the prices would hopefully result in people pursuing cleaner energy sources, which would then help combat climate change.

?They ? you ? you can already see what the arguments will be during the general election. People will say, Ah, Obama and Al Gore, these folks, they?re going to destroy the economy, this is going to cost us eight trillion dollars,? or whatever their number is. If you can?t persuade the American people that yes, there is going to be some increase in electricity rates on the front end, but that over the long term, because of combinations of more efficient energy usage, changing lightbulbs and more efficient appliance, but also technology improving how we can produce clean energy, the economy would benefit.?

Sanity Check:

If the republican House or Senate members ran out of State to avoid voting on something the media would have a hey-day with it. They would be called all sorts of names, the President would be speaking daily about the matter, recall petitions would be gathered, etc etc etc. The Wisconsin dems have bailed on their legislative duties. Like a bunch of children, they know they cannot win so they just take their toys and go home. The left wing media outlets have been mostly silent, and in some cases condoned the dems behavior. State Dem Senators talking at rally's over this whole mess are talking about "it's time to get bloody". Imagine if a repub Congressional/Senator said the same thing? Didn't Obama speak loudly against violent rhetoric after the Arizona shootings? Why has he been silent over the recent violent rhetoric?

Sadly, people will continue tow their party lines all the way to the bankruptcy line with utter disregard to what they know deep inside their minds is the right thing to do.

Excellent. Let the insurrection begin.

I'm sick of hearing about Middle East Politics. I mean sick. I don't even care. When it collapses I know the price of Oil and Gas is going to shoot thru the roof. As I said before, once we hit rock bottom and fuel is over $5.00/gallon permanently then perhaps we'll make some real, meaningful and beneficial changes around this place. People seem to forget that there is so much plastic used in everyday life for us and guess whats used to make it? I wonder how expensive trash bags will get to, or computer keyboards, or 55% of the parts in our electric, hybrid or conventional gasoline cars. Those who argue against drilling, and nuclear power can eat some crow. How's those fancy electric cars working for ya? It's kinda hard to recharge them when there is no cheap power anymore. Wait.. they're mostly plastic and damn, did that get expensive.. can you even afford one now? Nah, they'll never admit they're wrong, they're too smart for us.

I wonder if our Desert States will begin to look like scenes from the Mad Max movies?

All this hoopla lately over the bad ole Republican Governors trying to bust up the Unions made me do some investigation. I used to work union, when at Ameritech/SBC/AT&T I was in the Communication Workers of America (CWA). I'm no big fan of the Unions as stated many times in my posts here but in all fairness I want to see what this is all about.

Well, typical media spin, political pundit punkings and Union agenda bullshit has clouded the waters. I read the key paragraphs on the Bill in Wisconsin. Guess what? The Governor is correct in his statements. The law in fact does NOT stop collective bargaining entirely - only on benefits. I don't care what you saw on CNN, FoxNews, MSNBC, read in a blog, or saw on a TV commercial, go READ the goddamned law for yourself. It's clear as day, even I could understand the legalese. The law also denies the ability for binding arbitration. Binding arbitrators are much like "expert" witnesses brought into Court proceedings. The majority of these 'arbitrators' are full-timers and influenced by BIG money from the Union upper hierarchy. Binding arbitration in Wisconsin means that when/if during negotiations and the Unions cannot agree with legislators then they agree to take the matter to the arbitrator and their decision is BINDING and FINAL. This sidesteps the representation of the taxpayers at large. That is like a defense or prosecution team bringing in an 'expert' witness to trial and whatever they say is FINAL - there is no Judge or Jury. What's worse is that the Legislators have zero say on who is brought in as an arbitrator... they have a pre-determined disclosed list of names and the final non-negotiable choice for an arbitrator is made by the Union itself. I call bullshit.

I can't find anywhere in the Bill that affects private sector unions. Nothing Wisconsin could draft would affect private sector unions anyhow since those are governed by Federal Laws, unlike public unions which are enabled by State legislature.

It also turns out that Wisconsin is one of the few States that has every worker protected in written laws that almost exactly mirror the Union representation of the same. Therefore non-unionized workers have almost identical representation under Wisconsin law as explained by their Attorney General. Again, more bullshit pushed on us in the media and by the pundits about how these poor workers are suddenly going to be like sweatshop workers in South America when binding arbitration is revoked. Please.

Another part of this law allows workers to opt out of joining a Union (and paying dues) just to work at a particular branch of municipal government. What's wrong with that? If I was happily employed somewhere non-union for a few years and suddenly my employer tells me we have unionized. I would want the ability to opt-in or out based upon a decision that I make, not someone else.

Remember, we're talking about Public sector Unions here. Our tax dollars, not a private entity. State's only have so much budget to deal with. Governments do not profit, they always run in the red, so how can you possibly expect wages to increase based upon profitability or worker reviews? Hrm? Those work fine for XYZ Plumbing or QWERTY Construction but not for public state employees. Why people cannot distinguish the difference baffles me... seriously.
