Here's an idea, why not thank the fucking SCIENTISTS that enabled you, not the "god" that didn't? Because I think "god" was trying to tell you something...
Feb. 17 (UPI) -- A Texas couple's pregnancy announcement after a long struggle with fertility issues featured their 452 IVF needles -- and two onesies for their coming twins.
Lauren Walker, 28, announced in a Facebook post, which has since gone viral, that she and her high school sweetheart, Garyt, are expecting twins after years of trying and hundreds of in-vitro fertilization treatments.[..]
"We prayed for 953 days...452 Needles, 1000's of tears, 1 corrective surgery, 4 clomid/letrozole attempts, 2 IVF rounds, 3 failed transfers and & 1 Amazing GOD," Walker wrote.
Ok see, without SCIENCE you wouldn't have gotten pregnant because SCIENCE was the ONLY thing, not your prayer, that got you pregnant. But hey, yeah, god is so fucking amazing that he invented IVF to be discovered by scientists just so you could get pregnant.
Actually you know what god REALLY wanted you do to? Fucking ADOPT.
Dickhead Donald is all about "Winning". Every time he talks about himself and what he's doing that word is in there. Of course if you're forced to go on a second round of victory tours to convince people of how "winning" you are, clearly your record isn't speaking for itself.
President Donald Trump is out of Washington for the weekend. His plans include meetings at his Mar-a-Lago estate and a campaign rally in central Florida.
On Twitter Saturday, Trump touted his "many meetings this weekend at The Southern White House" and his "big" speech in Melbourne later in the day. He added: "A lot to talk about!"
Trump is trying to regain his footing following a series of crises that have threatened his young administration. (AP)
So the whole notion that his record of "winning" would speak for itself seems to be somewhat in jeopardy. And while most presidents enjoy a honeymoon period after their election, DD's post-winning (the electoral college) period seems better characterized as a dismal-moon with chaos, defections, misinformation, misspellings and blatant lies.
Oh and let's not forget about the hate, because he's really good at the schoolyard bully tweets:
I feel sorry for Rosie 's new partner in love whose parents are devastated at the thought of their daughter being with @Rosie--a true loser.
You must admit that Bryant Gumbel is one of the dumbest racists around - an arrogant dope with no talent. Failed at CBS etc-why still on TV?
I loved beating these two terrible human beings. I would never recommend that anyone use her lawyer, he is a total loser! (DD)
That is the current president, speaking for himself in his own words. Wow, isn't he "winning"?
Because judges, being both educated and qualified, are not sufficiently ignorant to be swayed by moronic arguments.
Feb. 17 (UPI) -- In a case that could have broad legal implications for the country, the Washington state Supreme Court ruled 9-0 that a Christian florist could not use her faith to justify refusing service for a gay couple's wedding.
Lawyers for the defendant, Baronelle Stutzman, pledged they would appeal the case to the U.S. Supreme Court.
The case began in 2013 in the city of Richland, Wash., when a gay couple, Robert Ingersoll and Curt Freed, contacted Stutzman, owner of Arlene's Flower Shop, to provide flowers for their wedding. Though Stutzman knew the couple were gay and had sold them flowers before, she refused to do so for the nuptials, saying her Christian faith restricted marriage to between a man and a woman and participating in the ceremony would violate her religious beliefs.[..]
The justices drew on the civil rights era debate over segregated and whites-only lunch counters to rule in the couple's favor.
"[This case] is no more about access to flowers than civil rights cases in the 1960s were about access to sandwiches," the justices wrote in a 59-page decision. "Public accommodations laws do not simply guarantee access to goods or services. Instead, they serve a broader societal purpose: eradicating barriers to the equal treatment of all citizens."
So there you go, proof (and logic) positive that "religious freedom" is just a glossy coat on the steaming pile of shit that's actually called discrimination. You're a BUSINESS, not a fucking artist, you plunk flowers into a vase based on a pre-made picture that shows you how. If you choose to HAVE a business you are required to serve EVERYONE EQUALLY. Too bad you don't like how your customer looks, or what they believe in, or even whom they choose to love. TOO FUCKING BAD because you have to sell to them whether you like it or not.
Religious fucktards have been empowered and emboldened by conservatives, deluded into believing that all of the nation needs to align with their ideals and, when they don't, forced into adhering. Oddly, the courts aren't agreeing, even if politicians like to blame the judiciary for being uncontrolled and reactionary, the truth is they're only upholding the laws as they are logically and unemotionally applied. As they apply to EVERYONE, not just the people who want to be right.
I'm happy about that. And it makes me hopeful that after conservatives beat their head bloody against the law in an attempt to deny equality to the LBGT community that then maybe women will get a chance for their freedom as well. Screw conservatives, screw your hate, your tiny brains and hearts. I see a future where your rhetoric will be marginalized into the background as the noise it truly is.
You'd think that the Ruskies would know a pompous dick-tater when they met one. On the other hand... maybe they did.
It was almost as if a US presidential candidate, and subsequently a new US president, had become the golden boy of Russian politics. In January he even received more mentions in the Russian media than President Vladimir Putin.[..]
On Friday, Russia's most popular tabloid, Komsomolskaya Pravda, accused President Trump of making "contradictory" statements about Nato.
The paper points out: "(During the election campaign) Trump had called the Alliance obsolete and useless. Less than two months have passed since he moved into the Oval Office and he's already expressed full support for Nato.
"As the saying goes, you need to be drunk to understand the true position of America's president." (BBC)
Well the Ruskies won the first round, they helped elect a total imbecile to the highest possible office. But they certainly figured out quickly that trust isn't a word in Dickhead Donald's limited vocabulary. What's more entertaining is watching those who actually THOUGHT DD might support them because they supported him. Uh..... newp.
WASHINGTON (AP) -- Though Donald Trump fashions himself a loyal boss, his inner circle has been steadily shrinking - revealing Trump's willingness to cast aside some of his most devoted advisers.
Yeah, DD treats people like toilet paper, one wipe and he's done with them. Loyalty to him only goes in one direction. But what do you expect from a certified psychopath.
So back to the Ruskies, I'm sure they're laughing their ass off. They managed to eliminate the qualified candidate who MIGHT have actually impeded their progress and feed the moronic-voting-masses a complete and total failure. AND get a full makeover in the process. Really the GOP loving the Red-threat? Yes, really. They're our buddies because DD says so.
At least for now.
Challenge time kids! Take the next few "presidential" quotes and remove the following words: Great, Winning, Terrible, Bad, Love, Massive, Huge, Pathetic, Dumb, Stupid, Dope, Weak, Incompetent, Boring, Fool, Pathetic, Haters & Losers, Racist, Clown, Overrated, Disgusting, Goofy, Low-Rating, No-talent, Low life.
Do you know that would eliminate almost 2000 tweets? I say eliminate because just removing those words wouldn't actually render the content any more meaningless than it already is. It's basically a zero sum of intelligent communication either way, so removing those words basically means it's as if he never bothered to press send in the first place.
Yes the president is a knuckle-dragging, spit-drooling moron. JUST what his voters wanted. Totally making america huge and great with winning and without any massive, pathetic, dumb, stupid, dope, weak, incompetent, boring, pathetic haters and loser racist clowns, who are overrated and disgusting not to mention goofy because of their no-talent, low life, low-rating badness.
Also, apparently Dickhead Donald is too stupid to use a spell checker. Or an editor.
I didn't want a moron for a president. I have enough trouble with them being fellow citizens.
Because it's a GOOD thing to put guns into the hands of the certifiably insane.
WASHINGTON (AP) -- Congress on Wednesday sent President Donald Trump legislation blocking an Obama-era rule designed to keep guns out of the hands of certain mentally disabled people.
On a vote of 57-43, the Senate backed the resolution, just one of several early steps by the Republican-led Congress to undo regulations implemented by former President Barack Obama. The House had passed the measure earlier this year. The White House has signaled Trump will sign the legislation.
The Obama rule would have prevented an estimated 75,000 people with mental disorders from being able to purchase a firearm.
It's hard to understand why the GOP feels the need to enable crazy fuckers to own guns, especially when there's documented history of crazies being the ones who have used said weapons to kill as many people as they can. Such as children. But no, the NRA wants to enable everyone and anyone to have a gun to kill, kill, kill. Because killing is cool or something. And no, it's not about self defense because certified wack jobs like Lanza and Holmes weren't being threatened by elementary school kids or a theater full of moviegoers, really not.
I'm pretty sick of the whole "I need a gun" bullshit. No, no you fucking don't. You don't need a gun. ESPECIALLY if you're stupid-crazy. Wanna hunt? Sure, go nuts. But you don't need a pistol or an AR for that. Going to overthrow the government? Right, go ahead try it and get back to me on that too. Because someone is going to invade your home and take you hostage?
The ratio for 2012, per the Violence Policy Center, was one justifiable killing for every 32 murders, suicides or accidental deaths (the ratio increases to 38-1 over the five-year period ending in 2012). (LA Times)
Yeah the statistics don't support that. You're more likely to shoot a family member or just fuck up and shoot yourself instead. But hey, the GOP loves sucking NRA dick because John Wayne and Clint Eastwood ok?
What a fucking stupid way to govern.
There you go, campaign promise kept: families broken, dreams destroyed, it's not so easy to face when the concept of "ridding the nation of illegal immigrants" becomes actual humans in actual chains. Here look at it.
"DIFFERENT RULES A federal raid aimed at illegal immigrants in Long Island last month angered local officials who objected to the lack of warrants. Credit Pool photo by Michael Schwartz (NYT)"
Happy now? Do you feel safer? Prouder? More american? If the answer is yes then either you're a liar, a fucking psychopath who takes pleasure in the pain of others, a heartless fucktard or deliberately ignorant. Congratulations on your victory. Too bad it tastes like vomit.
One of those detainees has two U.S.-born children, no criminal background, and has spent years living in the United States. Another one was considered a “gang member” simply because of old speeding tickets and tattoos.
Go on, pat yourself on the back. Job well done.
Yeah, so, the last time I posted anything, it was about Amanda Batty. But she's fuckin' awesome.
For one, she's full of hate. For another, she was at the Utah townhall that sent Chaffetz packin' and was sending out reports. For yet another, despite the hate, she's somewhat of a voice for reason, even it it's filled with profanity. Like this.
But as for the townhalls, which are turning into a nice 10 Minute Hate, Chaffetz has made the opinion known that he thinks people in Utah were paid to be there. Does anyone recall the rise of the Tea Baggers, and how they packed the townhalls? The similarity stops where we get to the point that people showed up and shouted. Recent townhalls are because people are actually pissed off. Not because someone told them where to be and what to shout.
Amanda Batty is dismayed at the din, the chaos, and the lack of organization on the part of Dems, but shit man - these have been the first few townhalls since January 20th. People will rage, vent and then take some action.
Meanwhile, my local Congresswoman had the tact to see people in small groups. On one hand, that keeps the chaos down and makes for an intimate moment with your rep (for all of 10 minutes or something) but it also keeps the rabble from being organized.
And she's got her claws out.
Rumours that comedian Rosie O'Donnell is due to play White House chief strategist Steve Bannon on this weekend's episode of Saturday Night Live have sent social media into overdrive.
Currently experiencing its highest ratings in 22 years, what's behind SNL's resurgence in popularity?
But as celebrity, politics and modern living changed over the years, so too have the targets of SNL's jokes. With the arrival of Donald Trump's White House administration, SNL has been gifted a comedy cash-cow. (BBC)
Yes there's a silver lining to the tRumpsterfuck we're currently in: it's a never ending cavalcade of fresh material for the comediennes. Between the Borg-lookalike, cunt-faced, cow Conway to the grand poobah, cheeto-faced and dick-brained Donald himself it's a gift that just keeps giving and giving and giving. Spats and fights, crying and tantrums it's a black humor reservoir at of the purest cut.
Of course the fact that tRumpy finds it offensive and continues to express himself in 36-word outrages that end with "bad", "terrible" and "bad" (because that's about as creative as he gets) who can resist? Especially when we need all the humor we can get.
So Rosie, my dear, sic' em honey, because the ratings speak for themselves. If there is one thing that Dickhead Donald has done it's make SNL great again. Score!
Because you're supporting IMMIGRANTS!
Of course now it's not the "Japs" it's the "Wetbacks" we're intolerant of. Never mind that they contribute to taxes, to our economy, to the culture and identity of our nation, no never mind that, rather think about how they are stealing, overwhelming and committing crimes against white america.
Over and over America has tried to shut her doors when ignorance, hate and money come together. Eventually, decades later, people forget and it's not a problem. Kind of like how sushi is not a problem any more.
America has nothing to fear from the current and next generation of people coming to our country trying to make a better life. And if you're not descended from Eskimos or Native Americans then your ancestors also faced this same animosity... and yet here you are. Maybe, instead of looking for the enemy on the outside we should concentrate on the enemies inside our nation trying to scare us into giving away our freedom, sanity and self-esteem.
To the Trumps the Presidency is only a way to make a LOT of money. It has nothing to do with actually contributing to the country.
WASHINGTON (AP) -- First lady Melania Trump expected to develop "multi-million dollar business relationships" tied to her presence in the White House, according to a lawsuit she filed. And she has yet to step away from the companies that manage royalties from her name-branded products, business documents show.
Ethics watchdogs worry that Mrs. Trump seems to be inappropriately trying to profit from a high-profile position that is usually centered on public service.
NEW YORK (AP) -- The White House has "counseled" a top aide to President Donald Trump after she promoted Ivanka Trump's fashion line during a national cable television appearance from the White House.
My daughter Ivanka has been treated so unfairly by @Nordstrom. She is a great person -- always pushing me to do the right thing! Terrible! -Dickhead Donald
It's either jaw-dropping or awe-inspiring, whichever, the level of blatant GREED involved. One might think, in fact I'm sure very many hoped, that Dickhead Donald would at some point start acting like a president and boy oh boy has he proven them wrong. In fact it's pretty fair to say he's gotten only worse and we're barely into his tenure. The Clintons were bashed over book deals and speaking engagements, but compared to this? Wow, not even several orders of magnitude within comparison. Even as president Dickhead can find more time to complain about how other businesses are negatively affecting his and why he should be getting MORE money, MORE attention, he still has yet to address the SMALL business person whom he pledged to empower.
Laws? Pffft. He's taking a leaf from Putins playbook, the laws don't apply when you're president. They only apply to everyone else. Including ones he's only just thought up.
Fuck Free Melania, Fuck Ivanka and fuck the entire tRump troupe. Did you vote for him? Are you not sorry yet? No? Then fuck you too.
If Obama was the great "Explainer in Chief" we now have this asshole as president. But hey, he can have TWO titles.
"All over Europe it's happening. It's gotten to a point where it's not even being reported. And in many cases the very, very dishonest press doesn't want to report it. They have their reasons, and you understand that." -Dickhead Donald
He would have won the popular vote. More people came to his inauguration. Terror events are not reported. The press, ALL OF THEM (except maybe Fox) are liars. Deny. I didn't say it, even if you have it on tape, I didn't say that. That's not what I meant. It's not even one month and every sane person is fucking sick of hearing excuse after excuse for the baby-man who became king.
On Air Force One, before a smaller audience, Trump spokesman Sean Spicer said Trump did not really mean that terrorist attacks received no coverage. Trump's actual complaint, he said, was that such acts don't get enough attention. (AP)
Want a fact? I'll give you one: this asshole acts, speaks and thinks JUST like someone who I know for a fact is delusional. Sufficiently deranged that his spouse was told to pack her bag and keep it in her car at all times, just in case. And I'm not the only one to notice that the pattern of lies, and self-aggrandizing bullshit is at dangerous levels.
Maybe the question has crossed your mind: Is Donald Trump a psychopath?
An expert on the personality disorder took a crack at answering that question and found the GOP nominee to be even more psychopathic than Adolf Hitler. (Daily News)
Hitler was pretty popular too when he was elected. Now it's America's turn and instead of Jews we're going after immigrants. So, which side are you on? Friends with an immigrant? Would you turn them in to the police? Because that's where we're going.
Yes, 50 senators and 1 VP voted for stupid twat. So what else goes with DeVos? Devalue. Denigrate. Destroy. Demean. Oh it's a list that just goes on and on. Ah, america the privileged, where being a fudie-wife of a rich lobbyist gives you the power to decide the future of ALL american children, underprivileged ones of course, the slops and filthy spawn of the Great Unwashed masses (aka voters.)
In her world america is ONLY white, ONLY christian and ONLY educated as far as necessary for them to fill their role. Aspirations are for the rich, not the "others."
It's hard to put into words the hate and loathing I have for this woman and her handler. You thought you hated Hillary? Oh honies, you ain't seen nothing yet. I promise you.
Apparently quoting from a 10 year old letter is a penalty worth gagging on.
WASHINGTON (AP) -- Sen. Elizabeth Warren has earned a rare rebuke by the Senate for quoting Coretta Scott King on the Senate floor.
The Massachusetts Democrat ran afoul of the chamber's arcane rules by reading a three-decade-old letter from Dr. Martin Luther King's widow that dated to Sen. Jeff Sessions' failed judicial nomination three decades ago.[..]
Quoting King technically put Warren in violation of Senate rules for "impugning the motives" of Sessions, though senators have said far worse stuff. And Warren was reading from a letter that was written 10 years before Sessions was even elected to the Senate.
Still, top Senate Republican Mitch McConnell invoked the rules. After a few parliamentary moves, the GOP-controlled Senate voted to back him up.
Now, Warren is forbidden from speaking again on Sessions' nomination. A vote on Sessions is expected Wednesday evening.
Democrats pointed out that McConnell didn't object when Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, called him a liar in a 2015 dustup.
So here we have the part of "unity" right? All the calls about how we were going to "come together" after tRump was elected, live and let live, respect other views, bring america together.
Really, what do you expect from a party that uses every opportunity to disenfranchise voters, repress minorities and destroy the middle class? Yes, reading a LETTER from Coretta King was more offensive than being called a liar. REALLY McConnell? So here we have the new union. Better, greater than before. Ready to work together.
Actually it's more of a swamp than ever before. Between the lies, the denials, the complete lack of ethics the government is now more vile than any time in the past. I would say the civil war was probably more civil than this. Still, it's what voters wanted and thus it's what they're going to get. Here, have some: Fuck you cocksucking GOP dicktards, fuck you and your "values", your limited horizons and your vision of a white, aging, evangelical america. Fuck you sideways with a rusty spoon.
Now, are we friends yet?
Not mine. I didn't vote for him.
President Donald Trump has told a Texas sheriff they could "destroy" the career of a state lawmaker trying to reform asset forfeiture laws that critics say police abuse as a funding source.
Trump's comment Tuesday drew laughs during a meeting with sheriffs in the White House. The remark followed Rockwall County Sheriff Harold Eavenson's criticism of an unnamed state senator who believes police shouldn't receive forfeiture money unless a case ends in conviction.
Trump responded: "Who is the state senator? Do you want to give his name? We'll destroy his career." (AP)
Now there, tRump voters, doesn't that make you proud? The president of the US saying he's going to help destroy any politician who he doesn't agree with? What's that about "divided we fall?"
Well, I guess that's next then. Pat yourself on the back for a job well done.
Because it's going to take a LOT more time and effort to find out what the public is actually entitled to know.
WASHINGTON (AP) -- The Agriculture Department has removed animal welfare inspection reports, enforcement records and other information about the treatment of animals from its website, citing privacy and other laws.[..] The statement said the documents will still be available through Freedom of Information Act requests, which can be costly for the general public and sometimes take months or years to obtain.
So let's get this straight, the process of "draining the swap" actually means LESS transparency? It's like watching a magic show where the magician hides behind a curtain during the process of every trick. Convincing? Yeah no. Not really.
Yes folks if you really thought that der tRump was going to "Drain the Swamp" you were sadly, sadly mistaken. Rather I'd characterize his actions as driving through the swamp at high speed in an airboat shooting indiscriminately and screaming "Yeeeeehaw!" as the spectators are covered in swamp-slush. Oh and then letting big businesses dump all their pollution into it for free so it turns into a steaming cesspool too vile to support any life at all. And declaring it a big success. Yep, that's about right.
Wanna know what's REALLY entertaining? Is that the people who stand to suffer the most actually voted for this.
WASHINGTON (AP) -- The Republican-controlled House voted on Friday to overturn an Obama administration rule that sought to reduce harmful methane emissions into the environment, part of the Democratic president's campaign to combat climate change.[..] The House vote followed action in the Senate earlier Friday ending an Obama-era regulation that requires oil and gas companies to disclose payments to foreign governments for mining and drilling.
The House and Senate also gave final approval this week to a measure that eliminates a rule to prevent coal mining debris from being dumped into nearby streams
This follows right on the heels of the GOP overturning rules to ensure that seniors with dementia aren't being used by people who need a clean name under which to buy a gun.
So let's see here, just a month in and energy industries can go back to spewing shit into the air, poisoning the water, keeping banks from wrecking the economy and minimizing the ability of felons to get their hands on guns purchased through our elderly who can't make decisions for themselves.
Boy oh boy that's just making America great ain't it? Well, not for anyone who lives near the pollution or shot by an illegal gun, but hey, dead people don't vote do they?
