Can we stop talking about them now?

It's interesting how the press is dealing with the new President. Some are cautiously sniffing around for opinions. Others offering an even handed mix of vitriol and optimism. Yet others have decided that, in the absence of electoral mud slinging, it's open season to beat on the losers.

Enough already.

I'm tired of hearing about how much Palin and McCain hated each other. I'm tired of hearing about how much money she spent on clothes. Or how the campaign leads didn't let her read a speech at the concession party. Or how poorly she got along with his aids, or not knowing about Africa or what the fuck ever at this point.

Listen boys of the press there's lots to write about out there. Pick something, ANYthing else and just give the candidates a friggen rest already ok?

Thanks.

The problem is the republican party is reeling. They've known they lost this election for almost a year. They knew Hillary or Obama would beat them. They've built a lot of pent up rage and frustration over that fact.

Now, after that build up, they're releasing the frustration and trying to figure out how to recover from the damage Bush did to the party. They want to blame someone. They can't blame the democrats because it would only hurt their relationship with the new party in power.

So, they attack each other. They're trying to grab the reins of power inside their party because they lost their direction.

Until they settle it, it's going to stay like this. Especially since the McCain / Palin rift has been obvious for a while, but quietly hidden beneath the surface until the loss happened.

Hmm, interesting point. Does it mean that the conservatives will be finally pushed down off the top of the republican hill I wonder?

Don't blame it on any particular party - its the press. They can spin anything into news. Trust me, I've seen the weasels in action first hand.

And maybe the Democrats need to stop the raspberries in the general direction of the Republicans long enough to figure out a real solution. Its time to look forward and quit slinging mud.

The democrats aren't the ones slinging mud. The republicans are throwing it at themselves. Can I help it if I laugh at them when they do it? I mean, when the karmic kick in the ass comes to a group of people who so richly deserve it, the whole world is entitled to laugh their asses off at them.

Republican strategy was an epic fail in front of a global audience. The fact that they're following it up with a open airing of their dirty laundry just makes it that much bigger of a failure.
