Have fun?

*blink*blink*

... slowly I emerge, like the proverbial critter on Groundhog Day. Peering myopically at the light it seems like forever since I last had the strength to bitch about the world.

Queritor Ergo Sum

I am back, and the fanfare has almost died. It is enough just to begin to think again, about how to express the discontent (fitting that it is almost winter). And so I'd like to lavish my attention on the first thorn to prick my side.

"What an awesome night for you, your family and your supporters. [...] You are about to go on one of the great journeys of life. Congratulations and go enjoy yourself."

That about sums up the difference in eloquence, not to mention intellect, between the two. Go enjoy yourself? I beg your pardon? The President Elect has earned the job of mucking out the Augean stables. I'll bet it will be fun for Obama to slop and mop the mess our former president has left.

Jackass.

Awesome night? Is that your best expression? I believe your resume says you went to college, hard to believe it. One might recommend to George Senior that he might want his money back.

Ok, now that's aside. Full speed head... damn the torpedoes and all! It's nice to have a hope again. It's been so long without.

Honestly... Are you honestly telling me that you are going to pick on him even congratulating Obama in his own fashion?

I don't know... may he could have meant that the President Elect should go enjoy the celebration parties while he can *before* he has to get down to work. Just a thought.

You guys have won, no need to be mean-spirited about it.

While it may not be eloquent, I don't really have a problem with the message.

As a side note, go out and see if you can find a cover issue of Time magazine from the week Bush got elected. Compare that to what he looks like after 8 years in the White House. It's incredible.

Mean-spirited? You mean like the crowed that booed when McCain congratulated Obama on his win?

It *isn't* necessarily about a lack of eloquence, it's about a total lack of touch with American reality. People don't have money. They don't have security. They don't have heat. They don't have a home. It's a damn mess and the Emperor can only tell Obama that being President is a 'great adventure'. I'm sure it was for him, too bad the "adventure" doesn't reset when you screw up.

You want descriptions? Get a dictionary. Better go waste time reading the news or play some games on Yahoo or MSN or some shit like that.
