Be a real man

A real man knows when he's lost a fight. Further a real man will admit he's lost, learn a lesson and move on. Clearly the guy in the Oval Office isn't that quality of male.

The majority of Americans, the people he's supposed to represent, don't want to send their fellow citizens to suffer and die in Iraq. They elected Democrats to tell him so. But instead of sitting down and dealing with what his people want, the president instead has decided to kick and cry like a spoilt child because someone is taking his toys away.

The elected body has stated they want a deadline, to the spending, to the fighting, to the death of our soldiers. Instead of hearing the message like a man and working with the people elected by his pubic, the president has told congress what he will and will not accept.

Attention Mister, here's the deal. Having to work with the other branches of government does not impair your ability to do a good job. Blaming other people for the future results of your own actions only says that you're not capable to make the right decisions in the first place.

Playtime is over. It's time to listen to the people who pay your salary.

Iraq is a no win situation. I would hope that we could wait until they were able to govern themselves, but they have proven that they do not have the answers or balls to solve their own problems. Unfortunately Saddam knew how to control his people, which was unfortunately through threat and intimidation. Unfortunately, not every one can live and let live - some people feel the need to make everyone believe as they do and kill those they can't.

You're allowing the media to control your thoughts. Stop.

Wake up. Google California and murder rate. You'll find that the death rate in California is roughly 250% higher on average than the people we're losing in Iraq yearly. I see no posts on here where you've stood up and complained about all the brutal murders and homicides in Cali.

While I dont agree with your theory on all this, I applaud your efforts for publicizing the tragedies in Iraq. However If your allegiance is truly to those who are dying and not trying to forward a political agenda, then you should give equal time to those being murdered monthly in California. Those people are just as deserving of your efforts as our Military personnel are.

Well that's random.

There's no correlation I can see between establishing a pull-out date for Iraq and the murder rate in California. Last I checked CA was still one of the 50 states. Unless you're advocating pulling out of California I don't think that setting a timetable to terminate a foreign invasion is analogous. Sorry.

There is no coorelation between a pull-out date and Cali deaths. I wasn't even going there. Simply making a point to quit yakking about those dying in Iraq unless you're going to yak about other things right here on our own soil that are far worse.

Back to your point.. you of all people should realize that a pull-out date is ludicrous. If you were the insurgents what would you do when someone announces a date like that? You just sit back and wait for us to leave then raise hell when we're gone. I just do not get that logic and nobody yet has been able to explain to me how it even makes sense to announce a date. Hell we may as well just pack it in and leave now then. Whats the difference if we do it now or in 2 yrs?

The difference is a lot less dead Americans.

And about setting a date? Once we're out why do we care if they keep killing each other? They will anyway...

The fact that Iraqis will keep killing other Iraqis, whether we are there or not, was my point. It would be really great if it actually looked like the government in Iraq was really trying to solve its own problems. There might not be a realistic answer beyond carving up that country since Iraqis (and the majority of the Moslem) world seem far more concerned with whether their fellow countrymen are Sunni, Sheit, or Kurdish.

You want descriptions? Get a dictionary. Better go waste time reading the news or play some games on Yahoo or MSN or some shit like that.
