What year is it again?... 1950?

"Congress was briefed," Mr. Bush said. "And what we did was fully authorized under the law. And the disclosure of this program is disgraceful. We're at war with a bunch of people who want to hurt the United States of America, and for people to leak that program, and for a newspaper to publish it, does great harm to the United States of America."

Ah smell that Cold War.... Smells kinda like mothballs doesn't it?

Why are the Bush administration and the right-wing media pretending that this disclosure gave vital information to the terrorists? Now they know we're monitoring their bank accounts. Do you really think they didn't know that before?

I've been asking that question for the past couple days and I've yet to hear a response beyond "god damn liberal media is hurting our soldiers". Which makes me pretty sure they're unable to respond. The big revelation is that the US gov't, in it's attempt to track terrorist money, uses a international program of banks called SWIFT. However, the oversight on that program is a bit shady in places.

Since Bush and the pubs have been talking about financial tracking since Nov/01, I fail to see how the program is compromised.

Yeah like it was some sort of newsflash. When I heard it I was like "yeah, and?"

You want descriptions? Get a dictionary. Better go waste time reading the news or play some games on Yahoo or MSN or some shit like that.
