Lets call a spade a spade shall we? The numbers have proved time and again that telling kids not to screw when their homones are running full throttle is like trying to stop a train with your mind. It just isn't gonna happen. In fact a few studies have shown that kids actually screw more anally and orally as a result. Anyway, details aside - abstinance does fucking (lol) NOTHING to slow teen pregnancy, all it does is promote risky sex and misunderstanding. Well two groups are taking a new tact on the issue, read on....

WASHINGTON (AP) -- Two organizations that promote sex education are taking an unorthodox approach in their fight against federal funding of abstinence-only education programs.

Relying on a little-used law that allows ''affected persons'' to seek the correction of information disseminated by federal agencies, the groups said Tuesday that the abstinence education programs contain erroneous and ineffective information. They asked the Health and Human Services Department to correct it.

Facts are - people are getting money from our government to promote such shit as "Condoms are not an effective means of preventing AIDS". Ok that's wrong. Plain wrong. Still I doubt these guys are doing more than just making a splash in the AP. The sad truth is that the Bush cronie in charge of "Administration for Families and Children" recently said this about abstinence funding with a straight face in front of congress...

''They help people develop inner strength, help them take charge of their lives, and redirect their energies into healthy and productive choices,'' Horn said. ''While the evidence is still being collected, we are seeing the benefits of a strong abstinence message.''

Evidence? Bullshit. You know it, I know it and Reverend "Gimme Yo Money so I can Preach to teh kids on the Gov'ts Buck" knows it. Yeah it's a dog day for the great unwashed out there, with Uncle Sam handing out the green to every card carrying evangelist. Money + Bullshit > Truth - that's the bottom line.
