Ok, this is my first rant. I've been trying to be careful since I mostly use my work computer (what? Should I be working?). But I finally found something that even the spying eyes have to admit is ridiculous.
Anyway, I went to McDonald's yesterday morning because I was too lazy to make breakfast for myself. Now, I'm a very open-minded person, generally, but is it too much to ask for the person taking my order at that fine establishment at 7:40 in the morning to be able to understand my order??
I ordered a STEAK & CHEESE bagel with NO EGG. What pops up on the order screen? BACON AND EGG bagel with NO CHEESE. Where did the bacon come in? How does no egg become no cheese? So after saying my order three more times, the order then changes to two bacon and egg bagels with no cheese. WTF? After about 30 seconds of silence, I'm asked to pull around to the window where I wait again.
Finally, I'm handed a bag and just for the hell of it, I ask again "Is this a steak and cheese bagel because the screen said bacon and egg?" She nods and hands me the bag, then says "Oh, you wanted steak and cheese?" It's bad enough that I'm not a morning person, that I don't really want to go to work, that I don't really want to talk to anyone within 2 hours of waking up. But having to deal with ESL idiots is really too much to ask. So I calmly say "Yes, it is supposed to be steak and cheese, no egg." She charges me the same amount as the bacon and egg (30 cents less) and basically throws the bag at the lady behind her, like its her fault. Eventually, they get it right and I'm on my way.
I hate people. That is all.
