Conservative Lawmakers Don't Hate You - They Just Love Your Money More

Actually, the GOP does love us, more specifically they'd love us to die.
WASHINGTON (AP) -- The federal government announced sweeping new rules Thursday for electronic cigarettes that will for the first time require the devices and their ingredients to be reviewed, a mandate that could offer protection for consumers and upend a multibillion dollar industry that has gone largely unregulated.[..] House Republicans are already pushing back. A House spending committee last month approved industry backed legislation that would prohibit the FDA from requiring retroactive safety reviews of e-cigarettes that are already on the market and exempt some premium and large cigars from those same regulations. The legislation's chief author, Republican Rep. Tom Cole of Oklahoma, called the announcement an example of the "nanny-state mentality." Lawmakers on Capitol Hill have long enjoyed a close relationship with the tobacco industry, which has already given more than $1.8 million to members of Congress this election cycle, according to the Center for Responsive Politics.
Like that? The tobacco industry has found another way to administer an addictive chemical to young and desperate people and instead of WANTING to protect the population, Uncle Tom Cole wants to protect the PROFITS FIRST, because MONAY MONAY MONAY. Really? A totally unregulated industry that allows the rapid delivery of chemicals through the lungs and EXISTING E-CIGS SHOULD ALL BE EXEMPT? WHAT THE FUCK ASSHOLE? It's as if the whole tobacco industry debacle of the past decade is completely lost on conservatives. They don't care about the people who died from cancer, or the poor who waste their food money on ciggs. They only fucking care about the profit which can be diverted to their own pockets. It fucking boggles my mind why anyone would vote for someone who doesn't give two shits about if they live or die. But somehow the GOP manages to convince people that it's in their interest to give their money and votes to a party that wants both their money and their life. At least regular robbers usually give you a choice.
