IM AN AMERICAN! (maybe)

So Im cruising around reading up on some things and happen to run across a public speech delivered last year by former Colorado Governor Richard D. Lamm. Governor Lamm discusses the implications of mass immigration in its current form, but it was focused on the West Coast of the U.S. He also briefly touched on American comradery and how its declining.

You guys on the west coast may have problems with the Mexicans,
but HERE the big problem is with the Somalians. As far as Im
concerned, the problems here with the Somalis are worse even
though they represent a much smaller percentage of the total
immigration problem. They dont interact with Americans, they
stick to themselves, I have not honestly seen ONE of them
working at any retail store or restaurant. Its apparent that
the majority dont work as can well be seen by the huge groups
of 200 or more gathering at all these new 'Somali Entertainment
Centers' around Columbus. These gatherings can be seen during the
daytime and will last well throughout the night. Its not fiction..
a simple drive by through any of these centers in and around
Columbus will quickly prove this point.

Due to our Politically correct system of stupidity, everyone
is afraid to speak the truth about the upcoming problems for
fear of legal reprisal and claims of 'hatred speech'. In fact,
in some groups when I begin to talk/write about some of these
problems, rogue groups like the 'Nazis', 'Skinheads' and even
'Aryans' are brought up as a comparison to my thoughts and ideas.

How they can compare and coorelate our legitimate concerns for our
Country to those hate groups is beyond me. Usual and Customary
speech behavior here in the U.S. is quickly becoming polluted
with complacency and shunted fear. Politicians even turn a blind
eye to the problem for fear of voting reprisals by these
immigrant groups as they grow in strength. As Governor Lamm
points out, many other great Countries have faced similar
immigration problems and now are suffering the consequences
of a multi-lingual/multi-cultural State. Yet nobody here seems
to remember this, think about it or even care. Look at Africa.
My god.. what a mess. That entire continent is full of completely
dissimilar beliefs in religion, cultures, and language. Look
at where it has brought them. Look at the entire Middle East.
The Middle East is riddled with different factions, languages,
cultural beliefs and thoughts... and look at the hell that is
the Middle East now.

In a recent online discussion with a group of 20-30yr olds, I
found myself engaged in a heated discussion about these very
issues. I was surprised that a number of these people were
continually bringing up comparisons of my thoughts and beliefs
with the early 1900's Immigration flood. They felt that what is
currently happening is no different than what the U.S. had
previously experienced.. and that things will just 'work out fine'.

What this younger generation fails to realize is that the early
1900's immigration flood was in NO WAY similar to what is happening
now. Just like many million others, My great grandparents found their
way here on a boat.. where they are from is UNIMPORTANT. What IS
IMPORTANT is that they learned the English language, they assimilated
into American lifestyles, they contributed to Society by working hard
to EARN money to get the things they wanted/needed, and they were
proud to call themselves Americans.

The say that time heals everything. Unfortunately time seems to
also allow people to lose their train of thought and the historical
values and lessons learned of other great Countries whom are now
suffering from a non-compliant multi-cultural/multi-lingual Society.

Our largest fears and concerns are certainly coming to fruition -
it wont be much longer.. perhaps 10-20 years at best. Unfortunately
the general American public will not react to these issues until
its too late. So many people turn their blind eyes away from these
problems since the majority of people dont see any of these problems
in their town CURRENTLY. By the time the majority of the American
public realizes that these problems are now in their town.. it will
be too late to quench the problems that will have arisen - the
problematic issues will be too far wrapped into our Society and very
hard to ascertain or control.

If you look back at the historical thoughts and goals for any
military conflict that this country has been involved in you'll
quickly realize that our involvement in all of them was to stop and
suppress rogue groups that had evolved out of complacent
multi-lingual / multi-cultural societies. This holds true for any
conflict: World War I, World War II, the Korean war, Vietnam,
the Cold War era, the Falklands, the Gulf War, etc etc. In all of
these conflicts, while they do differ in the exact reasons that
caused them to begin, they do all share one common root
problem - complacency. The American public as a whole has lost the
lessons that these historical events have taught us as a Nation.

I look back at videos, books, newsreels and publishings on the
general feeling of American comradery as we prepared and began
to enter World War II. This was a unique time in American
History as the entire country rallied together to join the
Allies in surpressing the Axis. The American public was then
smart enough to realize the implications of their future life
should the Axis plans and goals become reality. I honestly dont
see this same type of comradery any longer, nor ever happening
again.

We've nobody to blame but ourselves. The majority of the people
in the U.S. do not vote during elections. Therefore the politicians
will continue to follow the money, the Special Interest groups,
(no matter how looney those groups are) and cater to those groups
who can help get them elected. Honestly.. do you think that that
banning the Christmas Holiday would have ever been an issue 20 yrs
ago? Whats next? Should we ban allowing Jews to celebrate Hannukah?
Should we ban all talks of Rahmadan? Should we discount Kwaanza?

The majority of the American public do not follow current events,
long term events or even pay attention to the life lessons that
history has taught us. They exist in their own little corner of
the world happy and content and only care about themselves. They
pay no attention to people like us whom are raising legitimate
concerns for the Country as a whole. They dont care about you or
your children as they are of no direct concern to them. They wont
act upon anything that doesnt directly involve them. They are
selfish and disrespectful to others. American comradery has been
on a decline since the Vietnam War.. and I see it only getting
worse with the mass immigration (illegal and legal) here into
the U.S. We are losing touch with what once made this country
the wonderful place that it was.

Welcome to America.

Well, thats a long rant, but hard to tell what you are really trying to say. You seem to have 2 main points

1) multiculturalism is bad (using the middle east and africa as examples)

2) americans are apatheic and clueless

Statement one pretty much indicates why others may be linking you to various race supremacy groups. The US was founded on immigrants from various places. Its why you have such places and events today like chinatowns, little italies, Irish holidays, and others. Saying that we've hit some critical mass of cultures and that we should reject/keep out the rest seems...well...silly. Is there some evidence that this is the case? We have a school here in town thats exclusive for latvians, so they can learn their history, culture, and language. Should we get rid of it? If they are americans now, why do they need/want that?

You also seem to indicate that other cultures that immigrate here nowadays are lazy and don't want to work. Again, another mass assumption being made basd on local experience. I'd like to see proof of an entire race/culture being incredibly lazy and not wanting to contribute to wear they live. Perhaps there are some local issues with groups here and there, but us 'americans' have the same problems in different areas. Plenty of extremely poor areas in the US where people are out of work and live in bad areas. Should we export them out or try to address that local issue? Or just assume that the race itself are lazy fucks that are a drain on society.

And as far as statement #2, maybe you are right. Imo, I think we are all just so caught up how busy our lives are that we honestly just don't have time to worry about the larger issues at hand that we can't directly and immediately impact. Hell, I can't even blame people not voting anymore due to how fucking worthless both political parties are. The Republicans are just involved in mess after mess lately without any clear leadership on how to clean/sort thru it all, and the Democrats don't even seem to have an agenda or even ideals anymore besides just point out mistakes being made by others.

Anway, at least a new ranter has posted :)

You mention that you dont blame people for not voting due to the problems that both parties have. This is the proverbial 'chicken or the egg' controversy. In my rant I said:

"We've nobody to blame but ourselves. The majority of the people in the U.S. do not vote during elections. Therefore the politicians will continue to follow the money, the Special Interest groups, (no matter how looney those groups are) and cater to those groups who can help get them elected."

On one hand people wont vote since they dont like either party.. yet when they dont vote this allows the parties to continue pushing shitty candidates and party agendas. This sucks.

Well, I wasn't saying its acceptable that they don't vote, just that I can understand the viewpoint. And yes, it does suck.

On the other hand, the people that don't currently vote... do you really want them to? The obviously care so little about the process, that they are most likely tragically uninformed about the candidates positions and the issues involved.

Sure, it would be nice to say more people voted, but uneducated votes are as bad as non-votes. Worse in some ways. Clinton was elected because he played the sax on Arsenio. Bush was elected because he looked like someone you could have a beer with. Honestly, neither of those fulfill any kind of responsibility for voting IMO.

I want everyone to vote. But I know a large majority of the public is too stupid/ apathetic/ uninformed/ misinformed to even choose which candidate actually represents their wishes.

What bman seems to be talking about is a question of loyalties.

Is Your first loyalty to being an American and putting back into the system or is Your first loyalty to wherever You came from?

Most people have pride in where they came from and what makes them unique and no one is saying they shouldn't. However, the reason we won WW2 is that the whole of all our many groups strengths was stronger than the sum of their parts.

However, that only happens when all the guys on the team are working towards the same goal. If Your 1st loyalty isn't to the team then You're undermining its strength.

I thought we won WW2 because of two big fucking bombs?

Technically, the real source of victory in WW2 was vastly greater amounts of resources and manufacturing, but that's stepping pretty far away from the topic at hand.

WW2 was decided on the European front. The A-Bombs fell in *Asia* after the European side of things was already won. All they did was hasten what was, at that point, inevitable and spare both sides from a drawn-out conclusion.

In terms of production, ever notice how the countries and empires that grow the biggest are the ones that are able to enforce internal unity? We wouldn't have had the production capital or the ability to tap all of our resources without a unified culture.

I'm not going to even get into the analogy of how genetic diversity vs. genetic inbreeding applies...
