So the nativity is back at the corner of our block again, each character lit up with 40 watts of celestial joy. In the past years I've recounted how the infant is typically wedged, catty corner, in a plastic magazine rack. Last year I think it was a plastic laundry basket. This year - upgrade! He now rolls about in a wicker (looking) basket about the same size as the plastic laundry one from last year.
It's pretty funny, the whole plastic crew clustered around the unlit basket, like everyone wants to dive in and find their missing sock. On the other hand at least some things never change much.
