She really makes my head hurt.
Her child has Down Syndrome. It's a damn shame. I can't say I'm proud of her for taking the bay to term despite that fact. But at least she stuck to her guns on her anti-abortion stance. That's something. Of course, she loses some points for giving the thing a dumb ass name. Trig? Track? Oy.
She thinks there is a debate about evolution's existence, and that we should 'teach the argument' in school. I've repeatedly said my peace about that, and won't go into any depth on how stupid that is. It is what is is, and I can move on.
Her and McCain have both railed over and over about a 3 million dollar earmark for a NYC planetarium to get a new 'overhead projector'. It wasn't approved, but they attack on it anyway. Nevermind that the money would have been better spent on that highly complicated and expensive learning tool than say.... her clothing.
But she's never been one to rest on her laurels. Not Sarah. This heinously stupid bitch always goes that extra step to demonstrate exactly how moronic she is. She went out and said that the government need to step up and help look for treatments and cures for Autism. I'm ok with that. Good for her. It's the follow up that kills me.
You see, she wants to pay for it by axing 'earmarks' that she considers wasteful. Things like research into fruit flies. She said it with a tone if contempt and disgust that such a program could have ever gotten funding. She made it clear that this sort of waste would be tossed aside to help fund her autism program.
Now for the part where I point out the idiocy. First, she should talk to her running mate. Because he voted against this program. Repeatedly. Second, she should be real careful about that contempt she's displaying. The fruit fly research she's mocking has giving the world some of it's better treatments for a large number of illnesses.
You see, fruit flies have basically the same building blocks for DNA that we do. They reproduce quickly and allow us to plot genetic variances over generation cycles. That lets us see how things like autism and down's syndrome happen, and what we can do to prevent and manage those diseases.
That is the point of science. To learn from the best sources possible in order to better understand the world we live in. With understanding, we get the ability to improve our lives, and our world. Without it, we're just hairless apes in trees.
Sarah, you're a absolute idiot. I don't know how well that folksy charm of yours works in Alaska, but when confronted by truth and science, it falls short of making your case. You're an ignoramus of the worst sort. Not only are you clueless and incompetent, but you don't even recognize how mentally challenged you really are. You think you're intelligent. In reality, there is a good chance you'd lose a battle of wits with a fruit fly.
